With a strong forward workflow of exciting projects throughout New Zealand we are seeking a Senior Planner to join our team.  Working with our multi-disciplinary team you will lead or collaborate on a diverse range of projects from private plan change applications, resource consenting for large and small projects as well as providing feasibility and advisory services to existing and prospective clients.

Ideally you will be based in our Invercargill office, with Christchurch, Te Anau or remote options in the Central Otago region considered for the right candidate if completely independent.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time role for a Senior Planner at Bonisch. Intermediate planners with suitable experience will be considered. You will be responsible for assisting in all stages of projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking initial engagement with clients, understanding project requirements and advising on feasibility, costs, and timelines.

• Lead and contribute towards the delivery of planning and land development projects.

• Collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team and other professionals.

• Liaising with and forming relationships with local authorities, clients and contractors.

• Keeping abreast of the latest developments in planning and legislative changes.

• Support junior team members.

Qualifications

•  A minimum of 6 years’ experience.

• Proven experience in the private sector.

• Strong knowledge of New Zealand planning legislation,

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in planning or related field.

• NZPI membership (or eligibility)
